Apple Raises Price of Vision Pro by $200

Apple has raised prices on some of its products, including the MacBook, iPad, Vision Pro headset, Apple TV, and HomePod. The reason cited is the sharp rise in the cost of memory chips amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence and growing demand for computing components.

Released in October 2025 at a price of $3,500, the M5 Vision Pro is essentially an updated version of the original model released in 2024, which included the M2 chipset and was priced at the same $3,500.

Other devices that also saw price increases include the MacBook, iPad, iPad Air, Apple TV, HomePod, and even the MacBook Neo, which the company launched in March at $600 and now sells for $700.

The company explained that the rapid growth of artificial intelligence data centers has caused an extraordinary surge in demand for memory chips and storage devices. The company representative added that this is not news customers wanted to hear, and Apple is trying to find a way to mitigate the situation for them.

Apple (AAPL) shares plunged 6.1% on Thursday—the company hasn’t seen such a single-day drop in over a year.
