Acer has decided to enter the rapidly growing smartglasses market, unveiling two models with significantly different purposes. The new products were announced ahead of Computex 2026 and demonstrate that competition in the wearables segment is no longer limited to Google, Samsung, and Meta.

The Acer AR Vision GR0 augmented reality glasses feature 1080p micro-OLED displays and built-in speakers. They support stereoscopic imaging, have a 60Hz refresh rate, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio, and boast 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. They connect to Google Android, Apple iOS, and Microsoft Windows devices via a cable. The device weighs 69g. The price is $500.

The Acer G10 AI Glasses lack displays and act as a sort of Ray-Ban Meta equivalent: they feature a 12-megapixel camera, microphones, and speakers. They have 32 GB of memory and connect to Google Android and Apple iOS devices via the Acer AspireSync app, using Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. Google’s Gemini AI assistant is available for device control. The device weighs 49 g (frame only), the price – $300.

The launch of these two devices immediately demonstrates that Acer views the smart glasses market as a promising area for development. The focus on relatively affordable prices is particularly interesting, as many competing solutions with similar capabilities are significantly more expensive.
