VR Flight Simulator “Aces of Thunder” Be Available By The End Of The Year

Gaijin Entertainment is preparing a new flight simulator, Ace of Thunder, focused primarily on VR combat, which will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2024. In addition to the previously announced version for PlayStation 5, a version for the Steam service will also be available. Both versions can already be added to your wishlist.

Aces of Thunder will receive support for a wide range of VR devices. You can control the plane using various gamepads, VR controllers and joysticks.

Aces of Thunder will be a spin-off of the popular online game War Thunder, which will be dedicated to air battles of legendary aircraft. At the release, gamers will have access to more than 20 authentically recreated aircraft of the Second World War, including the P-51 Mustang, P-63 Kingcobra, Bf 109, Fw 190, Il-2, Yak-9T, Spitfire and A6M3 Zero fighters, as well as 15 maps located in three theaters of combat: the Eastern Front, Western Europe and the Pacific Ocean.

With native support for the OpenXR standard, Ace of Thunder is suitable for the widest range of VR devices. Players can control planes using conventional gamepads, VR controllers or joysticks.
