More and more insiders are hinting at a series of major announcements from Valve, which could take place as early as today. VR industry researcher Brad Lynch (SadlyItsBradley) reported that the company plans to “simply announce” the new device on November 12, with details and pre-orders expected to follow within one to two weeks.

This refers to the unveiling of Valve’s Deckard VR headset, which had been previously reported. In October, the Chinese research group XR Research Institute stated that the device had entered mass production, with annual production potentially reaching 400,000 to 600,000 units. This information was then confirmed by insiders Tyler McVicker and Brad Lynch himself.

Lynch clarified on his Discord that the information came from “multiple sources at different times.” This data aligns with his earlier hints about Valve’s activity in mid-November, as well as with an observation by user sameseksure, who noted an unusual gap in the Steam event schedule from November 18 to December 8. The community considers this period a convenient window for a major announcement.

Valve itself hasn’t officially commented on the potential announcement or confirmed the existence of the Deckard helmet, so all this information should be taken with caution. The situation should become clearer in the coming days.
