As expected, HTC has unveiled a new generation of its Vive Pro 2 virtual reality headset. The main feature of the new product is its displays with a huge 5K resolution (2448×2448 pixels per eye, full-RGB LCD) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a viewing angle of 120 degrees.
In addition, it became possible to adjust the interpupillary distance and the distance from the eyes to the lenses and adjust the fit of the helmet. Built-in certified Hi-Res headphones can provide three-dimensional sound, which will allow the user to fully immerse themselves in the gameplay. Two built-in microphones are used to communicate with other players. Connection and data exchange with the device occurs via Bluetooth and a USB-C port.
The HTC Vive Pro 2 will go on sale on June 4. However, you can already pre-order a $750 bundle that includes just the VR headset. The full bundle with base stations and controllers will cost $1,400.
