Apple decided to please its fans a month after the release of the iPhone 17 and released several new devices. Perhaps the most unusual is the updated Vision Pro M5 headset.
The headset now runs on the Apple M5 processor, built using a 3-nanometer process. It features a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU with hardware ray tracing support. Performance has increased by up to 40% compared to the previous generation, and power efficiency has increased by up to 20%.

The R1 coprocessor, with a latency of approximately 12 ms, is still responsible for processing data from cameras and sensors.
The main external change is the Dual Knit Band. Made of two-layer 3D knit, it softly distributes the headset’s weight and improves ventilation.

The display is 10% sharper and brighter, and the refresh rate now reaches 120 Hz. Battery life has been increased to 2.5 hours, and up to three hours when watching video. The 16-core Neural Engine accelerates AI and improves the speed of system functions by up to 50%.
The updated Apple Vision Pro remains priced at $3,499 and will go on sale on October 22.
