Apple Sends Vision Pro Owners Surveys About Competing AR/VR Devices

The company sent out surveys to Vision Pro users about their experiences with the VR headset, MacRumors reports. But it also asked about competing mixed-reality and virtual-reality headsets, as well as smart glasses.

In addition to the typical questions about usability, Vision Pro screen resolution, “Guest Mode” and user wishes, the questionnaires also include specific questions about Meta Ray-Ban and Quest 3, PlayStation VR, Valve Index and others. Considering yesterday’s roadmap of Ming-Chi Kuo with Apple headsets and smart glasses, the surprise survey once again confirms the company’s bet on this type of device.

However, in June 2025, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo admitted that smart glasses would not go into mass production before 2027. According to him, glasses with a built-in display (estimated release date is 2028), second-generation Vision Pro (2028), and Vision Air (2027) are also under development.
