The company introduced the experimental Vibe Coding XR tool, which allows you to create prototypes of VR and AR applications in seconds based on the Gemini model.
Previously, creating XR applications meant working with game engines, 3D models, scripts, and hardware limitations. Developing even simple XR prototypes required technical skills and complex setup.
With Vibe Coding XR, this is no longer necessary. The AI tool uses a modular XR Blocks system with pre-built components for physics, interaction, and user interfaces. Gemini simply assembles these components based on user instructions in natural language.
It could be a math tutor using 3D shapes to explain Euler’s theorem, a physics lab where you have to balance a scale by dropping weights, or a chemistry lab where you can light a virtual flame.
At the same time, the XR Blocks system ensures stable application operation, as Gemini uses proven building blocks to assemble projects, while creating from scratch implies uncertainty.
It should be noted, however, that this tool is best suited for rapid prototyping rather than for finished applications. And, most likely, the user will need to refine, improve, and develop what Gemini offers.
