Ahead of CES 2026, Xreal announced the Xreal 1S augmented reality (AR) glasses. The new glasses offer many improvements over the previous Xreal One model, released in late 2024, while also being priced lower.

The resolution is 1200p per lens (compared to 1080p in the previous version), brightness has increased from 600 to 700 nits, the viewing angle is 52°, and the aspect ratio is 16:10 instead of 16:9. The maximum refresh rate remains the same at 120 Hz.

The model also features Real 3D, which converts 2D video into 3D. A Verge editor who tested it notes that in Mario Kart, the effect “wasn’t very noticeable, despite the added ‘extra depth,'” but when watching videos of cars or panoramas, the effect can be a “fun addition.”

Bose speakers are built into the temples. There’s a detachable camera for photos and videos. The publication notes that Xreal glasses fill a niche for users who want immersive content or a second monitor without the need for bulky headsets.

The Xreal 1S and Xreal Neo are now available for purchase on the brand’s official website, as well as on Amazon and Best Buy. The glasses are priced at $449—$50 less than the Xreal One. The Xreal Neo is priced at $99 until February 4, after which it will increase to $119.
