Insider Gabe Follower has shared exclusive information about Valve’s internal projects, including the long-awaited Half-Life 3, new devices, and the company’s ambitious plans.
The company is actively working on a sequel to the popular Half-Life series, a new stationary console, and VR devices. Known as HL:X, the project is in active development. An insider reports that the game will have the same scope as Half-Life 2 and its episodes. However, unlike the experience of Half-Life: Alyx, the new project promises to be truly ambitious.
Valve is working on a stationary console that will be an evolution of the Steam Machine. Using the experience of past years, the company aims to create a device based on SteamOS that will be able to compete with the current market leaders.
The company is continuing to develop a new VR device, but is not rushing to release it due to strong competition from Meta. The main goal of the developers is to create something truly innovative to stand out from other market participants.
