The EVA Pro League Is Here: The World’s First Professional VR Esports Competition

French company Esports Virtual Arenas (EVA) has launched the EVA Pro League, a virtual reality esports league aimed at elevating VR from an arcade-like entertainment to a premier competitive discipline. The league features eight renowned teams: G2 Esports, Team Vitality, Team Heretics, SK Gaming, GiantX, Shifters, Solary, and OG Esports.

The EVA Pro League, the world’s first professional esports league in virtual reality (VR), has officially launched! Bringing together eight of Europe’s most prestigious organizations, this competition marks a true turning point for the EVA competitive ecosystem.

The regular season will last several months, from April 14 to October 25, 2026. Eight teams will face off in intense home and away matches in a best-of-three (BO3) format. To spice up the competition and test player adaptability, the game map pool will change mid-season.

Fierce competition is expected, with a base prize pool of €50,000 to be distributed based on the results of the regular season.

The EVA Pro League competition will run from April 14 to October 25, 2026, and will feature a round-robin format with home and away matches. The top four teams will advance to the EVA Summit playoffs at the end of October.
