Soul Retreat Meditations Teleport to Real Locations Using Proprietary photogrammetry

Soul Retreat, a new virtual reality app for Quest 3 and 3S, uses recordings of real-world locations to immerse users in relaxing meditations. The developers strived to achieve the highest possible scene quality, which is especially pleasing when viewing picturesque beaches, meadows, mountains, and rivers.

A new VR meditation app from Soul Retreat Labs transports users to photorealistic landscapes inspired by real-life locations like Glen Coe in Scotland and La Besurta in Spain.

These tranquil spaces were recreated using a system the developer calls GroundedPresence—an advanced photogrammetric dataset. The result is a realistic experience that recreates the feeling of lounging on a sunny beach or walking through windswept hills.

A voiceover accompanies you during your meditation, sharing breathing exercises or short stories to distract you from the stress of your day. You can change the time from daytime to nighttime with a simple gesture or voice command. The narrator adapts to each session, and the studio guarantees a personalized approach.

Soul Retreat is available as a free download on Quest 3 and 3S, and you can purchase a Soul Retreat Plus subscription for $7 per month, $35 per year, or $70 for lifetime use.

The free plan gives you access to two locations, and the third rotates weekly. The paid plan allows you to explore all 10 locations. The selection is expected to increase as the app develops.
