November 21 – Spanish club Real Madrid is pushing the boundaries of what a modern match can look and feel like, and president Florentino Pérez’s “Infinite Bernabéu” project is perhaps the boldest example.
The club is partnering with tech giant Apple to create a virtual reality experience that will allow fans anywhere in the world to experience the stadium. According to Pérez, this collaboration “will be like opening the stadium’s doors to the entire planet.”
The goal of this innovation is to provide a true VIP experience for the millions of football fans unable to attend the stadium. Thanks to modern VR headsets, 360-degree cameras, new live streaming capabilities, and immersive effects, fans feel like they’re right at the center of exciting games.
With this technology, Real Madrid aims to revolutionize not only the quality of broadcasts but also the way football is experienced. Fans can fully experience the stadium noise, the cheers, and the thrill of adrenaline from the comfort of their own seats.
While the project will have economic benefits, Pérez insists the goal is simpler: “What’s really special is offering a billion Real Madrid fans, around the world, the experience they want to have.”
