Meta Unveils New AI Glasses

Meta has announced a new line of smart glasses created in collaboration with Oakley. Like Meta Ray-Ban, the new product is equipped with a front camera, built-in speakers and microphones. Once connected to a smartphone, the device allows you to listen to music and podcasts, take calls and communicate with the company’s proprietary AI. It can answer questions about what’s happening around you and translate texts from other languages.

The new glasses are positioned as a sports accessory. They have an IPX4 waterproof rating and have twice the battery life of Meta Ray-Ban. The battery life after a full charge is 8 hours, and using the included charging case allows you to increase the total battery life “without a socket” to 48 hours. The built-in camera shoots video in 3K format, compared to 1080p for Meta Ray-Ban.

Pre-orders for the limited edition model will open on July 11, with other models to follow later this summer. The Oakley Meta HSTN will be available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Australia, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

Prices for the new collection range from $399 to $499.

To date, more than two million Meta Ray-Ban glasses have been sold, and starting in 2026, the partners plan to sell 10 million smart glasses annually.
