Paradox Interactive has announced Surviving Mars: Pioneer, a VR reimagining of 2018’s Surviving Mars. The new version challenges players to establish a colony on Mars, but in the first person.
Unlike the original game, in Pioneer gamers will look at the world not from above, but through the eyes of one of the characters. They will have to independently move around locations, extract resources, choose a place to build various buildings and objects, and cover long distances on rovers.
Early access will launch on PCVR and Quest later this year, with a PSVR2 version coming at a later date.
