Apple Adds AI to Vision Pro

Apple is expanding the capabilities of Vision Pro by adding artificial intelligence features in an upcoming operating system update. The company confirmed that its generative AI platform, Apple Intelligence, will be coming to the augmented reality headset as part of visionOS 2.4. The beta software is already available to developers, with a public release planned for April.

Apple Intelligence updates to Vision Pro will be rolled out gradually, as they have been for iPhone and Mac. The first wave will include text and image tools, including Rewrite, Proofread, and Summarize, which will run natively on the device. This will improve the text experience, which is currently difficult due to the way the user types.

Another important innovation will be Image Playground, a voice-based image generation tool that will be integrated into the Photos app on visionOS.

AI features like Message Summary and Smart Reply to emails will help users interact with apps faster and stay focused on their main task.

Along with visionOS 2.4, Apple also released the Vision Pro app for iPhone, which will be coming to iOS 18.4, which is also in beta. The app serves several purposes. First and foremost, it lets you view visionOS content like TV shows and movies, which you can then transfer to your headset.
