Devs United Games announced that Real VR Fishing has reached one million copies sold across all platforms since its September 2019 release. The news came from the company’s CEO, Mark Choi, along with an announcement of improvements.
Choi mentioned that a new mastery system called “Fly Fishing” is in development, as well as an expanded campaign with other community-requested features to add depth to the game. New leagues and tournaments are also planned to increase gameplay time.
The developers have been gradually adding content since release, introducing new maps recreating parts of Mexico, Japan, the United States, and Europe. Most recently, late last year, the game launched on the Samsung Galaxy XR with hand tracking support, bringing full cross-platform support to the latest version. On the Apple Vision Pro, the developers explored hand tracking technology in Fishing Haven, but it lacked most of the Real VR Fishing features that make the game so outstanding.
In parallel, work is underway on additional leagues and tournaments.
