At MWC 2024, TECNO presented an unusual device — the Pocket Go portable console. Unlike competitors such as Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go, TECNO’s product does not have a built-in screen. Instead, AR glasses are used to display images.
In fact, the compact joystick houses an ultra-mobile computer (from 16 GB to 32 GB of DDR5 memory, PCIe 4.0 NVMe 1 TB, battery, Win11), and such a console can connect to external TVs, projectors and monitors.

The kit includes the joystick console itself, as well as video glasses. Judging by the case, the active cooling of the processor is located in the upper part. The integrated AMD Radeon 780M core is responsible for graphics – a fairly powerful mobile GPU. As for the video glasses, there is a pair of high-resolution mini-OLED displays inside. Despite the fact that the diagonals of both displays are 0.71 inches, the equivalent image is obtained as on a 200-inch screen, according to the developer. The resolution is 1080p, the frequency is declared 60 Hz – this is, apparently, a limitation of the platform.

TECNO offers Pocket Go in different configurations. The console can be purchased without glasses for a price of $539. The accessory is also sold separately – from $349. If you take the set, you will have to pay from $869. This is the price for the 16 + 512 GB version. In retail, the price will be $1,699. There is also a 32 + 1024 GB configuration. It costs from $1,049 to $2,054.
