Microsoft Is Developing VR Headset For Gaming And Entertainment

According to sources from The Elec, Microsoft is developing a mixed reality headset with an emphasis on games and entertainment.

According to sources, the device will feature micro-OLED screens supplied by Samsung, promising high-quality images for users. The headset will be aimed at the mass market, unlike the more professionally-oriented HoloLens.

Windows Central, citing Microsoft patents, claims that the headset will look similar to the Apple Vision Pro. In addition, the device will run on Android, allowing it to run Windows apps via cloud services.

Journalists noted that Microsoft’s VR headset is more focused on the consumer segment than HoloLens helmets.
