Just days after the PC version of the game was released, the developers at SHIFT UP are already seeing their creation take on new life in VR.
A mod has been released for the PC demo version of Stellar Blade, released on Steam last week, adding VR support. It is implemented through the UEVR tool developed by modder “Praydog”, and allows you to play the game in VR mode.
The developers liked the modification so much that they posted a video demonstrating the mod on their social network and expressed their approval.
The technical aspects of the implementation are still far from perfect – users are faced with flickering textures and a lack of optimized profiles. However, even in its current state, the VR version is especially impressive in scenes with capsule landings and epic battles with huge monsters, creating the effect of being in a real 3D blockbuster.
Now players have a unique opportunity not only to watch Eve’s adventures, but to literally be next to her in the post-apocalyptic world of the future, appreciating all the details of the gameplay in a new, immersive format.
