The official support page reveals that the upcoming Meta Quest 3S headset will be able to easily switch to passthrough mode thanks to a new button created specifically for this purpose. The page also confirms the official name of the headset.
According to the information, the action button will be located in the lower right corner of the headset and will provide easy access to important functions without having to use old methods such as double-tapping the sides of the headset, which often prove unreliable.
In addition, the new product will receive two types of status indicators – a regular one and one for an outside observer. These details also confirm that the new headset will be called Meta Quest 3S.
Meta is expected to unveil the Quest 3S at its annual Meta Connect conference, which runs from September 23 to 26. The headset is said to replace the aging Meta Quest 2.
