Sony has launched FavoriteSpace, a VR world with apps for Android and iOS smartphones to connect sports fans with their favorite teams. Users can enjoy VR replays, content, social games, and tours while interacting with other fans.
FavoriteSpace is an extension of Sony’s efforts to enhance fan engagement by helping fans discover their favorite sports teams, connect with other fans, and enjoy games in new ways. Users can customize their avatars with virtual goods and uniforms, and communicate through nonverbal gestures, body movements, and other effects that transcend language barriers during interactive games and quizzes. The social aspects of this customization and interaction help connect fans across continents with their sports teams.
Sony’s FavoriteSpace apps for Android and iOS are available for free to fans in Japan, the UK and the US on supporting devices.
