Cult shooter Crysis Is Now Available In VR

A craftsman nicknamed fholger has turned Crysis into a game for VR headsets. The modification he created is based on the very first part of the shooter. The modder not only adapted the game’s resolution for helmets, but also adjusted movement, shooting, close combat, interaction with the environment, and much more.

The following features of the Crysis VR MOD 2025 mod are highlighted:

  • You can play sitting or standing, using 6 DoF (degrees of freedom) on a room-wide scale.
  • Natural weapon handling – aiming is done with both hands.
  • Visible player hands for greater immersion in the game (with basic IK).
  • “Physical” melee attacks – swinging your hands to strike.
  • Support for left-handed players.
  • Compatible with the bHaptics vest for an even more realistic experience.

To run, you will need Crysis installed, preferably licensed, and mod files. The game works with all virtual reality headsets that can be connected to a PC.
