Cheaper Vision delayed until 2027 According to a Chinese analyst, based on data from suppliers, the production of the cheaper Vision has long been delayed until after 2027.
It was previously reported that Apple is preparing to release a cheaper version of the Vision Pro next year, priced at around $2,000, which will be made from cheaper materials, and will also receive a less powerful processor, lower-resolution displays, and will be shipped without the EyeSight feature. As the analyst explained, Apple postponed the release of a more affordable version of the Apple Vision Pro, since “simply lowering the price will not help create successful use cases” and is unlikely to significantly increase sales. He cited the HomePod smart speakers as an example. “Even after the release of the cheaper HomePod mini, Apple’s smart speakers did not become mass products,” the analyst noted.
Thus, in 2025, the only AR device expected from Apple is the 2nd generation Vision Pro with the Apple M5 instead of the M2.
