Hardcore tactical shooter Ready or Not will soon receive VR support. This will be a mod for the PC version of the game, which is being developed by third-party enthusiasts.
The modification offers new ways to interact with the game: reloading weapons, controlling equipment for suppressing riots, and commanding a squad through hand gestures. Players will be able to use a portable tablet to manage missions, customize a set of equipment with ammo and bags, and also give commands to their team through hand movements.
The developers promise to add support for left-handed players, new types of weapons, including grenade launchers, and expand compatibility with VR controllers in the future. However, the authors warn that the modification is very demanding on hardware and will require a powerful gaming PC for smooth operation.
Let us recall that Ready or Not was originally released on PC on July 15, and later became available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. The game showed impressive commercial results – in the first four days, the console versions sold more than a million copies, and in two weeks this figure doubled.
